WRAP publishes new report on Wood Waste

WRAP (the Waste and Resources Action Programme) has published a new report on the Wood Waste Market in the UK.
The report anticipates that supplies of wood waste available for recycling in the UK will decline significantly in the next few years, with demand outstripping supply in a relatively short time. The report also assesses UK wood waste arisings of around 4.5 million tonnes, far lower than previous sudies have suggested. The full report is available here. BWF has recently secured funding from WRAP and BRE Trust to run pilot studies on how the joinery industry and its supply chain can reduce the amount of wood waste it produces.
