The BWF Fire Door Scheme has published its latest Fact Card to clarify the confusion which surrounds the specification and use of FD20/FD30 fire doors. The document explains why intumescent seals are always required when fitting fire doors, and why their omission will lead to premature failure in the event of a fire and will invalidate the certification of the door.
