In the Join In 18th March 2011, we explored how you can use the web and social media as an income generator, but we know many of you are already using some of these tools for your business and in a personal capacity too. For many, the digital frontier can be a daunting one, but feel that because it’s there and is the latest craze we ‘should’ be using it. Even in my experience in the realm of trade associations, there are a number out there that have gone onto Twitter because ‘it’s probably a good idea’ and then do not use it to its full potential or worse, do some brand damage! I don’t think you can speak to anyone in the marketing arena that thinks social and digital media as a concept is one that is going away or is simply a fad. Different platforms may come and go, but interaction with your customers, other businesses and indeed, your family and friends through the internet medium, is here to stay and will only grow. We’re hoping to capture what social media you’re using at the moment for both your business and personal use, and also why you’re using it.
