BSI Responsible Sourcing Sector Scheme Standard available online for comments

The draft standard BS 8902 for ‘Responsible sourcing sector certification schemes for construction products’ is currently available for comment until 31 July 2009. It provides the framework for the development of a sector certification scheme and sets out scheme requirements for management, development, content and operation. As you may be aware, responsible sourcing covers the management of a product from the point at which a material is extracted in its raw state through manufacture, use and re-use until its final disposal as waste. To be considered ‘responsible
