A pub management company has been convicted of fire safety breaches at North Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court. Among the failings that were discovered, reports the Wiltshire Gazette and Herald, were fire doors and fire exits that were screwed shut, multiple fire doors were propped open and escape routes obstructed. There were also failures to maintain any of the fire protection systems. The pub management company had their fine reduced to £15,000 by an early guilty plea.
