Following last month's £80,000 fine on the owners of the Penhallow Hotel in Newquay, after the fatal fire there in 2007, the debate as to whether or not we have learned the whole truth about the tragedy continues to rage on.

In an exclusive article in Info4Fire.com, Alan Cox, (fire safety consultant and campaigner on hotel fire safety standards) discusses some of the issues which still surround the tragedy, along with Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.

The tragic fire, described as the worst hotel fire in nearly 40 years, resulted in the loss of three lives and prompted a BBC TV 'Inside Out' programme into fire safety in hotels.
