Fire Door Safety Week – September 16thOrganisations and companies across the Fire Door industry are gearing themselves up for Fire Door Safety Week – September 16th to 21st.

The aim is to draw attention to the crucial role played by fire doors in saving lives and property, and to point out the dangers when fire doors don’t work correctly, aren’t certificated correctly, or have the wrong components fitted to them.

The week will be marked by a series of events and promotions supported by trade associations and their members as well as local Fire and Rescue Services, local authorities, landlords and other sleeping accommodation providers.

A dedicated website will list events planned to take place both during and after the week, including the start of a series of regional seminars, in conjunction with ASFP commencing September 26th.
Companies and organisations will also be able to pledge support for the campaign via the website.

Campaign Messages

To ensure correct performance of a fire door, always check your door is third-party certificated – this means it has been tested and audited.
BUT it doesn’t stop there . . .  .

Tenants and users – Close it!

Owners – Inspect and maintain it!

Contractors/Facilities companies – If damaged or needs glazing – use an expert!

Taking shortcuts with fire doors costs lives!
