The work of the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) and it's fire door scheme (BWF-CERTIFIRE), along with other organisations in the Fire Sector, has been praised for its successful year of initiatives by PFPF Chairman Mike Wood.
Looking back on 2013, Mike identified members of the PFPF including ASFP, BWF and the Glass and Glazing Federation who have all run initiatives.
For its part, BWF-CERTIFIRE has been involved in a series of seminars in conjunction with ASFP, with more planned for 2014, held the inaugural Fire Door Safety Week, and has recently announced the launch of the first national Fire Door Installer Register.
Previously, the Scheme has also launched the FDIS Diploma qualification in Fire Doors (DipFD) and the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) in conjunction with the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI).
